ERIK REECE is the author of four books of nonfiction, including Utopia Drive: A Road Trip Through America's Most Radical Idea and Lost Mountain: A Year in the Vanishing Wilderness, which won the Columbia School of Journalism John B. Oakes Award for environmental writing. He teaches writing and literature at the University of Kentucky. >
