Peetoom, an editor and author from Canada, recounts the stories of his travels aboard the cargo ships Ville d'Aquarius and Sydney Star in 1998 and 2000 with his wife, as they voyaged from Hamburg through the North Sea, the Mediterranean, the Suez Canal, and then to ports in South Korea and China, as well as from Savannah, Georgia, to Australia and New Zealand for the second trip. He describes their experiences on the ships, interacting with the crews, and the basics of container shipping, as well as the many countries they visited, with some b&w photos. No index is provided.
