The best part I like about financial modeling and computational finance lies in the power of quantitative methods integrated with information techniques to produce predictable and verifiable solutions to varieties and fluctuations of the financial market. This is the trend and this is also where the magic exists for computational finance in my views.
As a finance major student in R University, probably the best one in China in financial trainings and learning, I have a clear roadmap for myself even in my freshman year. I dream of being an expert with fine insights and sharp skills in investment, equity fund management, hedge fund operations and financial consulting with analytical advisory basis. Hong Kong and Singapore are in reachable range to my university and vibrant actions in the capital market are live shows here every day in or around the campus. In such a good stage, I have leamed in-depth all fundamental fields of finance and economics, forming a strong and informed perspective toward theory, rationales, practices and skills needed in finance.
Possessing an instinct to analyze and integrate varieties of data, I have a knack to see through financial market fluctuations, CPI changes, foreign exchange rate movements and even the pricing of certain assets. I believe I possess the talents to feel and sense accurately and boldly that are crucial for an intrepid financial expert in the industry. As early as my freshman year in college, I took the programming course in C++ language, which was indeed intricate and mesmerizing. For the first time, I started to view quantitative analysis in an integrated way with computational programming, the power of which attracted me deeply ever since. Finance programming will rely on good instincts toward market actions for the maximum effects and application. My unique instinct shall allow me to stand on better positions than my peers. Bold but rational, sensitive but sensible, I dream to deliberately train myself to become more refined in aspects of financial analytical tools, model constructions and programming for specific investment targets.
