Susan Capel is Head of the School of Sport and Education at Brunel University. She has published widely on education and sport education, is co-editor of Learning to teach in the secondary school, now in its 5th edition, and series editor for a number of related Routledge series.

Peter Breckon is Senior Lecturer in Physical Education at Brunel University. A Fellow of the Brunel Teaching Academy, his subject experience covers all areas of activity in PE, particularly gymnastics, swimming and games.
