商品簡介

Poetter (curriculum, Miami University) collects essays by doctoral students in the Department of Educational Leadership at Miami University, discussing key issues and problems surrounding the educational standards movement and the influence it has had on the curriculum of teacher education. Poetter's essay outlines the rationale for eschewing a technical approach to the curriculum of teacher education, and the nine chapters that follow raise questions about the purpose of schools, cultural influences, and commercialism in schools.
