Stalking the Big Bird ─ A Tale of Turkeys, Biologists, and Bureaucrats

Merriam's turkey is a bird native to the southern Rocky Mountains and the Colorado Plateau, a subspecies that might seem at first blush an unlikely subject for intensive research.
