進入新世紀以來，從事Maya引進與開發的公司開始舉辦Maya培訓班，在我國推廣Maya的應用與開發；各大專院校的動漫專業和藝術設計專業也先後開設Maya課程，並逐步將其作為專業主幹課程。但是，無論是從事社會培訓的講師，還是大專院校教授Maya課程的專職教師，在授課過程中都碰到一大難題：入行的新手和學生不懂Maya英語，在學習軟件的過程中，需要不斷借助詞典或翻譯軟件，查閱軟件界面上英文單詞或表達法，但效果往往並不理想，有時很難準確瞭解其確切含義。一邊查找，一邊工作或一邊學習軟件，給他們的職業生涯或學業帶來了很大的困難。許多入行的新手因為無法提高工作效率而放棄，很多學生在語言的困境中失去了學習Maya的勇氣。
