This book is a compilation of selected stories, essays and reminiscences that Dorothy West wrote for the Vineyard Gazette from the 1960s to the early 1990s. She writes of being a teenaged prize-winning author, of joining the Harlem Renaissance literary movement, and of her relationship with Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. The columns selected are those on people, events and nature that seemed to have the greatest historic, artistic or philosophical import.
作者簡介
James Robert Saunders is a professor of English at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. A native of Charlottesville, Renae Nadine Shackelford is a lecturer in the Department of English at Purdue University.
