When he isn't writing, Peter Kujawinski is a Foreign Serice Officer with the U.S. Department of State. Over the last ten years, he's lived in Israel, Haiti, France, and New York City, where he was part of the U.S. Mission to the United Nations. Currently he is taking a sabatical until in August 2010 in order to help promote the Dormia books and write. Peter attended both the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference and the Iowa Writers' Workshop and has published commentary in the International Herald Tribune. He currently lives Haiti.
Jake Halpern is a reporter whose pieces have appeared in the Washington Post, Smithsonian, and Sports Illustrated. He is also a correspondent for NPR's All Things Considered. Jake lives in New Haven, CT.
