When you are ill in America, you do not have to go to the local hospital immediately.There are many other heahhcare options available to you that you can explore. This does not mean, however, that Chinese traditional medicine can easily be found （most commonly in Chinatown） ; instead, it means there are many other places you can find your Western medicinal cure.
Usually when someone is sick, they visit their local doctor. Many doctors in the United States practice privately; that means they usually have their own once, staff, and nurses in the business of keeping people healthy. Many people see one doctor regularly over a long period——for yearly check-ups, preventative vaccinations, and any illnesses-so that they develop a keen patient-doctor relationship with one person. This means if you ever are sick, this person should already be familiar with your past medical history and can more easily identify what your current problem is. If you do not have a physical problem that requires immediate attention, you should simply book an appointment with your local doctor. If you have a very specific problem, you can even go to the yellow pages and find a specialist in that particular field. For example, if you have problems with your neck and back, you can see a chiropractor. If you have problems with your feet, you can see a podiatrist.
