建築工程專業英語（簡體書）

《建築工程專業英語》共15個單元，每個單元由課文（Text）、閱讀材料（Reading ；Material） ；和附錄（Supplement）3部分構成。內容以建築工程為主線，按照項目的建造順序，由淺入深，系統選編了建築工程、工程項目管理等方面的英文文獻共計45篇。為便於學生自學，每篇課文配有單詞和詞組表，並對課文的難點做必要的注釋，並配有與課文相對應的練習， ；如問答、填空、英譯漢與漢譯英等。為拓寬讀者知識面，在每篇課文後面安排的兩篇與課文內容相近的閱讀材料，具有一定的難度，供讀者課後閱讀。每篇課文後配有科技英語翻譯和寫作指南，以培養和提高讀者的閱讀、翻譯和寫作的能力和技巧。同時，本教材還突出了專業英語口語的訓練，在每篇課文後面插入了施工現場實用英語，介紹在涉外工程中常用的口語，供有意提高自身專業英語口語的讀者參照。全書最後附有專業英語常用詞綴和土木工程專業詞匯，供查閱。本教材選材廣泛，圖文並茂，實用性強。

The Translation of English for Special Purpose(Part 1)—A Summary of the Translation of Special English
科技論文翻譯技巧(一)—專業英語翻譯概論
專業英語是英語的一部分，但它又具有獨特的形式及專用英語。一般來說，在掌握了一定的英語基礎后，人人都可以動手翻譯，但是澤文未必能滿足專業人員的要求。因此，專業英語的翻譯就要求翻譯者在英語、漢語和專業知識等方面都具有良好的素質和修養。真正掌握專業英語的翻譯，應該主要從以下幾個方面著手。
①掌握適當的專業詞匯以及專業符號等；
②學會分析句子結構及文章結構，透徹體會原文思想；
③學會運用適當的翻譯方法和技巧，在忠實原文的基礎上，按照漢語的習慣及專業習慣等將原文準確地表達出來。
（1）Standard of Translation翻譯的標準 翻澤的標準，一個比較統一的觀點是：信、達、雅。“信”指準確忠于原作；“達”是通達、順暢；“雅”是文字優美、高雅。由于專業英語本身注重表現技術問題的科學性、邏輯性、正確性和嚴密性，所以專業英語的翻譯標準更側重于“信”和“達”。
【例2—1】The importance of building modern installation can not be overestimated inthe economic development.
直譯為：在經濟發展中，修建現代化設施的重要性不能過分估汁。
應譯為：在經濟發展中，修建現代化設施的重要性無淪怎么估計也不過分。
在原文中，over這種復合詞在與can not連用時相當于can not…too…，表示“無論如何…也不過分”。原澤顯然誤解r英語的這種特有的表達方式。
【例2—2】Grouting of the tendons usually follows the freedom of the ducts from obstruction.
直譯為：給鋼束灌漿通常跟隨在孔道暢通無阻之后。
應譯為：鋼束灌漿之前，孔道應暢通無阻。
上面譯文如果過于拘泥于原文的形式，讀起來不僅別扭，而且難以理解。有時為了符合漢語行文習慣，需要運用一定的翻譯技巧進行適當的變通。
從這些例句中看出，“信”與“達”是辯證統一的，“信”是“達”的基礎。不忠實的譯文再通順也毫無意義；“達”是“信”的保證，不通順的澤文又無疑會影響到譯文的質量。因而翻譯中必須遵循“信”與“達”相結合的原則。
（2）Process of Translation翻譯的過程 翻譯的過程是正確理解原文和創造性地用另一種語言再現原文的過程，大致可以分為閱讀理解、漢語表達和檢查校核等階段。
①閱讀理解。閱讀理解階段是翻譯過程的第一步，也是重要階段。閱讀理解主要通過聯系上下文、結合專業背景進行的。通常應注意兩個方面：一是正確的理解原文的詞匯含義、句法結構和習慣用法；二是要準確地理解原文的邏輯關系。
【例2-3】 Foundations are classified as "rigid" or "flexural"，depending on how theydistribute loads.
直譯為：基礎被分為“堅硬的”或“柔韌的”，這主要取決于它們怎樣傳遞荷載。
應譯為：按照荷載傳遞的情況，基礎可以分為“剛性的”或“柔性的”。
Rigid譯為堅硬的，意思上固然不錯，但是不符合專業術語行文的習慣。由此可見，在選擇詞義時，必須從上下文聯系中去理解詞義，從專業內容去判斷詞義。
②漢語表達。漢語表達的任務就是根據其對原文的理解，使用漢語的語言形式恰如其分地表達原作的內容。在表達階段最重要的是表達手段的選擇，同一個句子的翻譯可能有好幾種不同的譯法，但是在質量上會有高低之分。試比較下面的例子。
