商品簡介

作者簡介

Five summers of fieldwork at Leskernick, a small hill in Bodmin Moor, Cornwall, involved excavation of course, but also sociological projects, art projects, an exhibition, a website, and this volume explaining how it all happened and what it all means. Bender (heritage anthropology), Sue Hamilton (later European prehistory) and Chris Tilley (anthropology and archaeology, all U. College London)--along with other members of their calling--discuss such matters as the living bedrock, the old sacred places, archaeological practice and authority at the project, and the Stone Worlds Exhibition as an example of other ways of telling. Two poems and a photo essay are included. Annotation c2008 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
