作者簡介
Dr. Amy Hutchison is an assistant professor of literacy, co-director of the Duffelmeyer Reading Clinic, and director of the Literacy Coaching Certificate program at Iowa State University.
Hutchison's research interests include the study of the new skills, strategies and dispositions required to read, write, and communicate with digital technology and how to best prepare teachers for the integration of literacy and technology. Her research was recently published in outlets such as Reading Research Quarterly, Reading Teacher, and Technology, Pedagogy & Education.
Hutchison is the 2012 recipient of the Thomas N. Urban Research Award for outstanding research or scholarly contributions to Iowa Education and the 2009 recipient of the Distinguished Research Award given by the Iowa Educational Research and Evaluation Association. She teaches courses on new media literacies, adolescent literature, and literacy coaching.
Dr. Jamie Colwell is an assistant professor of literacy at Old Dominion University. Her research focuses on literacy in the content areas and using digital technology in literacy instruction. Dr. Colwell employs qualitative and formative experiment research methodologies in her research. Her research is set in elementary and middle schools and in teacher education, working with educators to integrate literacy and digital literacy instruction into content area curricula. Dr. Colwell’s teaching is in content area literacy and literacy coaching, where she instructs pre-service and in-service K-12 teachers.
