Most were printed as pamphlets and the first half of the text focuses on these pamphlets; the second half collects his magazine columns devoted to his two invented word games, Doublets and Syzygies. The book also contains analysis of Carroll's puzzles in relation to his writing in general. Of special note is a section informing the reader of games and puzzles popular in Carroll's time, such as rope tricks and several card games. 作者簡介
Christopher Morgan is a puzzle collector and designer, magician, computer scientist, and former Editor in Chief of BYTE magazine. Jeremiah Farrell is Professor Emeritus in Mathematics at Butler University and the designer of the famous 1996 "Election Day" crossword.
