Paravantes reveals how the relationship between Britain and the US developed in this formative period, arguing that Britain used the fast-escalating tensions of the Cold War to direct US policy in Greece and encourage the Americans to take a more active role - effectively taking Britain's place - in the region. 作者簡介
Spero Simeon Z. Paravantes is a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley and also holds posts at the University of Luxembourg and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan. He completed his PhD at the University of Macedonia and has published in peer-reviewed journals on the Greek Civil War and early Cold War international relations.
