Kenneth J. Carrig is Former Corporate Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for SunTrust Banks, Inc, Ken now serves as an advisor to CEOs. SunTrust market cap grew from $14BN to $22BN during this 5-year term. In June 2011, Carrig held leadership positions with Sysco, Comcast, Continental Airlines, and PepsiCo. A member of National Academy of HR Fellows since 2004, in 2010, he was named the Academy of Management Distinguished Human Resources Executive. In 2006, Carrig co-authored the book Building Profit through Building People (SHRM), the proceeds of which benefit Share Our Strength, an organization dedicated to fighting childhood hunger. Scott A. Snell is Professor of Business Administration and former Senior Associate Dean for Executive Education at the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business. He teaches courses in strategic management and consults internationally with senior executives to help their companies align strategy, capability, and investments in talent. His research has been published in a number of top journals and he is listed among the top 100 most-cited authors in scholarly journals of management. He is co-author of several books, notably Management: Leading and Collaborating in a Competitive World, 12th Edition (McGraw-Hill, 2016), and Managing Human Resources, 18th Edition (Cengage, 2018).
