商品簡介
As stated in the front matter, Jean-Baptiste Say (1767-1832) was a French classical economist who took part in three revolutions: the French Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, and the establishment of economics as an academic discipline. This full-length biography investigates his life, political involvement, and economic and political thinking. Schoorl (economics, U. of Groningen, The Netherlands) defended his PhD dissertation on Say in 1980, at a time when interest was low; but the tides have turned. The Say papers were donated to the Bibliotheque Nationale, and numerous books, articles, and conferences on his work reflect the occurrence of substantial renewed interest.
