The Ecg In Prehospital Emergency Care

For emergency services personnel new to or experienced with electrocardiograms (ECGs), Brady (emergency medicine and medicine, U. of Virginia), Hudson, Naples, Sudhir et al. assemble 28 chapters by emergency and cardiovascular medicine specialists and emergency services professionals from the US, who explain the use and interpretation of prehospital ECGs and their role in improving outcomes for patients who have suffered a range of presentations. Using tracings for illustration throughout, they review the ECG in the clinical setting, then describe the ECG and rhythm diagnosis, considering the electrocardiographic findings from a differential diagnosis perspective looking at rhythms and normal rates and bradycardia and tachycardia.
