New Testament Manuscripts ― Their Texts And Their World

Studies of ancient New Testament texts preserved into modern times often mention some details about the manuscripts, but here historians and scholars of religion focus on the manuscripts themselves to see what they can reveal about their world besides the words in the text. Their topics include the socio-religious context for the New Testament papyri, a newly discovered manuscript of Luke's gospel, whether manuscripts with the Lord's Prayer are more than simply witnesses to that text itself, and textual criticism in light of diverse textual evidence for the Greek New Testament. Thomas J. Kraus, Ph.D. (Universitat Regensburg, Katholisch-Theologische Fakultat) is a private scholar teaching at a German grammar school and participating in several research projects.
