Numerical Recipes in Fortran 90 starts with a detailed introduction to the Fortran 90 language and then presents the basic concepts of parallel programming. All 350+ routines from the second edition of Numerical Recipes are presented in Fortran 90. Many are completely reworked algorithmically so as to be 'parallel-ready' and to utilise Fortran 90's advanced language features. Numerical Recipes in Fortran 90 emphasises general principles, but throughout there are also numerous hints and tips. This volume is intended for use with the original Numerical Recipes in Fortran, 2nd Edition (now called Numerical Recipes in Fortran 77) and does not discuss how the individual programs are used, or how the mathematical methods are used. An excellent guide for Fortran programmers interested in moving to Fortran 90, or C/C++ programmers interested in parallel programming.
Rex is a terrible speller, and she's afraid she's going to embarrass herself in front of the whole class at today's spelling bee. Pinky, on the other hand, is a great speller, and he's sure he's going to be champion of the second grade again. But Pinky isn't counting on the new kid in class, who's a great speller, too. And he's certainly not counting on embarrassing himself in a way so terrible that winning or losing doesn't even matter. It's a good thing he can count on Rex to make him feel better on the worst day of his life.

There is a silent epidemic of childhood sexual abuse in the United States and a legal system that is not effectively protecting children from predators. Recent coverage of widespread abuse in the public schools and in churches has brought the once-taboo subject of childhood sexual abuse to the forefront. The problem extends well beyond schools and churches, though: the vast majority of survivors are sexually abused by family or family acquaintances with 90 percent of abuse never reported to the authorities. Marci A. Hamilton proposes a comprehensive yet simple solution: eliminate the arbitrary statutes of limitations for childhood sexual abuse so that survivors past and present can get into court. In Justice Denied, Hamilton predicts a coming civil rights movement for children and explains why it is in the interest of all Americans to allow victims of childhood sexual abuse this chance to seek justice when they are ready.
