現代醫學教育的一大特點是強調在畢業前能完整提供醫學生一般的醫學教育,也就是讓醫學生接受足夠的不分科一般醫學訓練,習得以病人為中心之一般性基本常見的病徵與疾病,而非專科或次專科疾病之相關知識。秉持這樣的理念,中山醫學大學醫學系非常重視一般醫學訓練該具備哪些基本臨床能力,據此來規劃醫學生臨床學習的內容,因此除了參考國內重要的相關文獻,如「醫學生畢業時必備之基本臨床能力」及「畢業前一般醫學訓練」,也參考美國內科醫學會頒定的實習醫學生課程綱要(Core Medicine Clerkship Curriculum Guide),制定了中山醫學大學醫學系的「一般醫學實習手冊-症狀技能導向學習」,以作為一般醫學訓練的依據。本實習手冊的內容包含了131項的學習目標,除了可以有效協助醫學生的臨床學習外,也可以讓各個建教合作醫院的臨床老師參考並安排教學內容,確保所有的同學在主要教學地點都有等同的醫學教育品質。上一版的「一般醫學實習手冊」在高潘福副院長以及所有老師的共同努力下,於2012年順利出版,多年來陪伴許多中山醫學大學醫學系的同學完成臨床學習。不過考量到臨床醫學日新月異,去年起由蔡明哲院長和高潘福副院長開始啟動實習手冊內容的檢討與更新,一年來在全體老師的努力及醫學系各位主管的協助下,順利地在今年七月完成新版的實習手冊。相信藉由這本更新後的實習手冊,可以更有效地培養醫學生在畢業時獲得「醫師的一般醫學特質和能力」,準備好接受下一階段的畢業後醫學教育,以培育出符合社會需求的良醫。中山醫學大學醫學系 系主任 辛宗翰
