「大玩」是台語「台灣 tâi-uân」的讀音。 《大玩香港人》 開宗明義就是「台灣香港人」，在台灣的香港人；八個在台灣生活的香港人故事。甚麼原因令他們離鄉別井往外跑?踏出的每一步都要勇氣和堅毅。如何以新住民身份重新打併自己的人生，他們的過去現在和未來，每一段的心路歷程，喜怒哀樂。

在這個世界上活了七十年，自問專心致志地幹，盡量不浪費一分一秒；加上一些難得的經歷，所以我一世人也許看了幾個年代的人情世態。到我死的時候，應該可以說一句：不枉此生！什麼難得的經歷？例如，香港和世界在不同年代怎樣起伏跌宕，由壞變好，令人興奮一時，彷彿整個地球只有春天，沒有冬天；但忽然又兜兜轉轉，由好變壞，而且比以前更壞，甚至回復那個還在討論“什麼是人，什麼是豬”的年代，走回人類反智的地步。且看，全球的戰亂和鬥爭此起彼伏，武器的破壞力愈來愈強；利慾薰心和強權獨攬，變成全球公式。我不知是幸運還是不幸，在外層壓力有增無減的不同年代，很多人性的霎時真偽、善惡的一線之差、時代風雲的起與跌、樂與怒……..我在採訪和人生旅途中都看透了，有些更是親身經歷，所以有時自High能夠成為“時代見證人”，這不是很難得的嗎？可是，如今回頭一看，才發覺這七十年裡，原來有半個世紀是在混沌中過的；或者說，這半世紀至少有一半時間是在迷夢中度過的。年輕時凌雲壯志，享受過彷似直達天庭的“紅”，卻原來只是在鳥籠裡亂飛亂撞，換來自闖地獄的“黑”。當年以為大鵬展翅，翱翔萬里；頭頂碰着塗上藍天白雲和彩虹的天花板，腦殼也撞碎了，還以為那是天空海闊的蒼穹，結果頭崩額裂，血流如注，仍感到不可一世，無比自豪。最後，當被逐出家門和國門時，頓時天崩地塌，真想遁入空門。昔日那種浮誇的自豪，實際也是自騙；如今，我不是紅也不是黑，而是滿身傷痕的瘀，但還有人問我是“黃”是“藍”，是“白”是“灰”？我說，我沒有顏色，只想用透明贖罪！如果我過去的自騙也欺騙了大家，就讓我在這本書裡向各位請罪！ 時至今日，一切夢幻都隨着人心、世態和身邊的時局轉移，破滅了，煙消了，整個人從世界最高的珠穆朗瑪峰，跌入世界最深的馬里亞納海溝。這一刻我才發覺，原來無論在世界之巔，還是在深海龍宮，都是不能呼吸的。最大的期望，換來最大的失望，幾乎淪為絕望；埋頭埋腦地幹，就是傻頭傻腦地“被幹”。噢！醒了！醒了才懂得反問自己一句：“如果不醒，還是正常人嗎？”不過，那一種半醒半昏、半痴半呆、半正常半失常的狀態又在折磨我。我這個夢醒老人，仍然披頭散髮，在泥淖裡抓抓爬爬，自嘲無限的失望，都是咎由自取的。在這書中，我必須承認，我的婚前情、婚外情和私生女兒，如今都失去了，只能在書中懺悔。但請原諒我，我不能告訴你她們的名字，因為這個世界還沒有真醒。閉目遊思，此後，到底要做真活人？還是要
