Everywhere we go, our friend Earth is here. Introduce little ones to our place in the solar system with Our Friend Earth, a circle-shaped ode to the planet we call home. Life on Earth is a gift from the sun. Like day and night, the people, places, and things we love come and go. But while our days are full of flux, the Earth is our constant companion, an unconditional friend who reminds us we are never alone. Gratitude for the Earth begins with awareness. After reading Our Friend Earth, children will love pointing to the ground under their feet and recognizing it as Earth, their forever friend. From the diagram in the back of the book, they can learn how day and night cycle around the Earth as it rotates in the light of the sun.
