This book describes the use of the symbolic manipulation language REDUCE in particle physics. There are several general purpose mathematics packages available to physicists, including Mathematica, Maple, and REDUCE. Each has advantages and disadvantages, but REDUCE has been found to be both powerful and convenient in solving a wide range of problems. This book introduces the reader to REDUCE and demonstrates its utility as a mathematical tool in physics. The first chapter of the book describes the REDUCE system, including some library packages. The following chapters show the use of REDUCE in examples from classical mechanics, hydrodynamics, general relativity and quantum mechanics. The rest of the book systematically presents the Standard Model of particle physics (QED, weak interactions, QCD). A large number of scattering and decay processes are calculated with REDUCE. Aratus of Soli was a highly original poet of the early third century BC, famous throughout antiquity for his didactic epic on constellations and weather signs, and imitated by later Greek and Latin poets. Modelled on Hesiod's Works and Days the poem is cleverly updated to appeal to the interests of contemporary Greek readers. This volume presents for the first time in English an edition of the poem with a full introduction, facing translation and a line-by-line commentary. The introduction explains the literary and scientific background, the characteristic features of Aratus's language, style and metre, and the transmission of the text to the end of the Middle Ages. The Prajñā-pāramitā-ratna-guna-samcaya-gāthā (abbr. Rgs), 'Verses summarising the Precious Qualities of the Perfection of Wisdom', is a notable example of Buddhist Sanskrit literature at its earliest stage. It is probably the only extant text in Prajñāpāramitā literature written in the typical Buddhist Sanskrit language, it displays a number of unique grammatical forms and constructions, and is one of the earliest documents of Prajñāpāramitā thought. Dr Yuyama's aim was to present an edition of Sanskrit Recension A, represented by a single manuscript kept in the Asiatic society of Calcutta, which appeared to preserve more original readings than the other recensions in Sanskrit, Tibetan and Chinese. Detailed footnotes explain how the readings were adopted in this version. The importance of the Safavid period (1501–1736) in Iranian history has been increasingly recognised. 我們進入了大數據時代（big data era），我國的中文信息處理有了長足的進步，除了傳統的基於規則的中文信息處理之外，在基於統計的中文信息處理、基於神經網絡的中文信息處理以及知識圖譜等方面也取得了顯著的成績。我國的中文信息處理成為了全世界自然語言處理（Natural Language Processing，NLP）的不可分割的組成部分，在全世界自然語言處理的頂級會議中，我國學者都是積極的參與者或會議的組織者。作為《中文信息處理與漢語研究》的姐妹篇，《大數據時代的自然語言處理》結合中文信息處理的實踐，分為四個章節，除了第一章的概述之外，後面三個章節分別介紹了大數據時代的統計機器翻譯、神經網絡模型和神經機器翻譯、知識圖譜等內容。最近，我國正在現有傳統文科的基礎上，進行學科中專業課程的重組，建設文文交叉、文理交叉的“新文科”。中文信息處理把現代信息技術融入到語言學中，是文理交叉的新文科建設的最佳範例，希望本書的出版，能為我國新文科的建設助一臂之力。
