Revitalization in Asia: Adaptive Reuse in Macao, Mumbai, and Penang offers a clear understanding of the value of sustainable adaptive reuse within an Asian context. Three highly urbanized places (Macao, Mumbai, and Penang) are considered in detail from conservation and planning perspectives (with essays and timelines for each). For each place, five case studies offer a comparative framework for understanding similarities and differences in adaptive reuse projects. Six essays examine adaptive reuse in terms of its connection to the three dimensions of sustainability, with reference to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. This book is envisioned as a continuation of Asian Revitalization: Adaptive Reuse in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Singapore.

Adaptive reuse refers to reusing an old building for a purpose other than which it was originally built or designed. This conservation approach has become increasingly popular around the world. However, there are few publications that focus on its application in Asia. This book fills this gap by looking at both unique and shared aspects of adaptive reuse in three Asian urban centers: Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Singapore. Building on government policy documents and extensive field work, this book contextualizes adaptive reuse in each city and reveals the impetus behind a wide range of projects from revitalization in Hong Kong, commercial development in Shanghai, to community building in Singapore. The introductory chapter sets adaptive reuse within an international perspective, noting salient differences and similarities between Asia and other parts of the world. 安康*的《中国农产品蔬菜批发市场的性质与变迁研究--基于CAS和主观博弈契合》尝试性地提出了复杂适应性系统(Complex Adaptive System，简称CAS)和主观博弈契合的理论框架，从宏观和微观两个层次上对市场的性质进行新释义，进而从整体和个体两个层次上对我国农产品蔬菜批发市场的性质和变迁进行了理论透视，并选用我国东部和西部两个有着代表意义的案例对理论进行检验。本书通过对本质的分析，来挖掘现象产生的深层次原因，从而在理论层面上给出政策意蕴。

策略管理的研究已經有五十年的歲月，這一龐大且複雜的 領域，已區分出兩大領域主流，一是大多數人所專注的策略內 容(strategy content)，以及少數人所研究的另一主流，專注 於策略過程(strategy process)。資源基礎觀點(RBV)及動態 能力(DC)是策略管理研究兩個最核心的主軸。 許多學者更是 竭盡心力，根基於RBV與DC兩理論，以各種研究的主題，欲 將兩理論加以延伸。 本研究從企業實務營運的策略決策角度出發，根據策略理 論的策略流程主軸，在現今市場全球化及亂流般的劇烈環境變 動下，因企業策略決策通常變得非常複雜，除了RBV及DC的 理論外，應該如何建構在這兩大理論基礎下，更進一步描述或 發現及探討那些因素，影響其策略流程，才可以適當描述卓越 企業實務上的完整模式，以增添RBV與DC理論的可應用性， 拉近與實務運作的實證價值。 本研究透過多重個案的深入訪談，分析所蒐集的資料 發現，廠商在不同的市場動態性下，成功企業會以三種不同決 策能力：調適型(adaptive)、深思型(interpretative)、即興創 作型(improvisational)的動態策略性決策能力，掌握及整合獨 特性資源(distinctive resources)，並隨時考慮決策相關各因 子間的持續互動迴路影響，以系統動力學的概念，根據決策迴 路調整修正，產生最適策略決策及績效。發展出「市場動態性 →動態策略決策能力→獨特性資源→策略執行→決策迴路」的 模式，以更貼近實務地，描述成功企業的策略經營之道。從五 項觀念性架構議題討論，透過多重個案的複現邏輯，發展出增 加策略管理流程中，DSDMC模式之探索性研究，透過這些議 題的發現，可做為未來可以一般化實證研究的方向。
