The Boundless Treasures of the Mountains and the Seas People often use the term "treasures" to describe the lives and resources existing in the mountains and the seas; however, they do not keep or care for the treasures carefully like they treat precious gemstones. Overconsumption is what humans do to the treasures. With the aim of preventing the treasures from being completely depleted in the near future, the Summer Edition's cover stories will continue the spirit of this year's theme "Grand Perspectives with no Boundaries" by sharing stories about a group of people who are committed to protecting the boundless treasures of the mountains and the seas through transnational, interagency, and intersectoral exchange and collaboration for the concept of conservation to prevail in different corners of the world. Animal Farm, published in 1945, is a satirical novel by British novelist and essayist George Orwell (1903-1950), pseud. of Eric Arthur Blair. Orwell is best known for Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-Four (1949). As a socialist, he was a keen critic of imperialism, fascism, Stalinism, and capitalism. His works are concerned with the sociopolitical conditions of his time. Animal Farm, with great critical and popular success, is a witty, satirical allegory about the failure of Soviet totalitarianism. Some events in the book are based on events from the Soviet Union during the Stalin era. This novel is ostensibly about a group of animals who oust the humans from the farm and run it themselves, only to have it corrupted into a brutal tyranny on its own. Full of whimsical ideas, they embody the notion of “all humans are siblings, and all things are companions,” brimming with warmth and compassion. These poems could be described as bright and cheerful, approachable, clever and fluid, humourous, and deep with meaning, written as though the author is able to directly communicate with animals.
