After an index of companies, section II offers rating factors, historical data, and general information on each of the 450 largest property and casualty insurers in the US. Components analyzed include financial strength, major rating factors, and principal business and principal investments. These summaries also contain graphs and charts. The next three sections of the book list recommended companies by ratings, by name, and by state. There is also a section identifying companies that have received a rating change since the previous edition of the guide, with an explanation of reasons for the change. An appendix lists state guarantee associations, state contact info, recent industry failures, and a glossary. The publisher's new Financial Ratings Series combines Weiss Ratings and TheStreet Ratings. The information in the book is also available online by subscription.
