Complex Analysis for Mathematics and Engineering

Mathews (California State U.-Fullerton) and Howell (Westmont College) present a textbook for students in mathematics, physics, and engineering at the junior or senior undergraduate level who have completed a sophomore calculus course. To support the emphasis now being placed on undergraduate, they provide a list of research projects for students. Their topics include complex numbers, analytic and harmonic functions, complex integration, residue theory, conformal mapping, and Fourier series and the Laplace transform. In many cases, different degree of rigor are presented for students or instructors to choose between. No dates are noted for earlier editions.
