Extended abstracts for 11 papers look at data sources for GeoChange research, sensing change, spatial and temporal change and scale, and combining statistical and ontological models. GeoChange may be an earlier name for the symposium series that the cover and title page call GIScience, which is presumably GIS science, not GI science. Among the topics are issues related to multiple representations of elevation, decision trees to detect changes in remote sensing image time series, a database model for environmental change application, and the semantic linking of data for the Brazilian Amazon rainforest statistics.
