Human-computer Interaction and Innovation in Handheld, Mobile and Wearable Technologies

This collection of twenty-two articles drawn from the inaugural volume of the journal International Journal of Mobile Human Computer Interaction highlights current scholarship in user interface design for mobile devices. The works touch on major aspects of interface design, evaluation and implementation and individual papers discuss such topics as adapting heuristic evaluation for mobile computing, human-computer interaction issues for in-car computers, mobile phones for children and design for touch based interfaces. Essays include abstracts, illustrations, tables, notes and bibliographies and a volume wide-compilation of references is also provided.
