Modeling Survival Data Using Frailty Models

Survival models concern the time until a particular event, typically death, explains Hanagal (statistics, U. of Pune, India), and there are many good books about it, but very few of them consider frailty models. He synthesizes recent literature on basic concepts in survival analysis, univariate and shared frailty models for survival data, and bivariate frailty models for survival data. His topics include some parametric methods, estimation methods for shared frailty models, tests of hypotheses in frailty models, frailty models based on Levy processes, correlated frailty models, and the identifiability of bivariate frailty models.
