Elinami Veraeli Swai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Women's and Gender Studies at the University of Toledo. She received her Doctorate in Adult Education with Minor in Women's and Gender Studies from the Pennsylvania State University. She also holds M.Ed. and B.Ed. (Honors) degrees from the University of Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania. She taught at The Institute of Adult Education and at the University of Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania between 1997 and 2000.
