Risk is of fundamental importance in this era of the global economy. Supply chains must into account the uncertainty of demand. The final chapter outlines open questions and discusses future directions where research and practice may take Supply Chain Risk as a field. The individual chapters report both quantitative and qualitative studies while emphasizing the relevance, understanding and application by those in the research community, knowledgeable practitioners, and policy makers.
