He has championed environmental efforts, including the Chattahoochee River Greenway and the Northwestern Hawaiian Island National Marine Sanctuary. Terry L. Maple is president and CEO of the Palm Beach Zoo and professor of conservation and behavior at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
