Jones (social sciences, Cardiff University) presents articles on a variety of aspects of Jungian analysis. The title has the dual meaning of "after" in time and "beyond," that is the evolution of Jungian concepts over the past fifty years. The authors are mainly practicing analysts and there are many case studies given as examples. These cover several cultures on four continents and demonstrate how Jung's work on the mind/body can be adapted. Jones provides some background on Jung's philosophy in order to place the articles in context. In their individual work the contributors use Jung as a base from which they can create responses that fit the situation and the patient. The articles also remind the reader that biotechnical solutions can not cure every psychological problem. Therapy is still an important part of emotional healing. Raya A. Jones, Ph.D., is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Social Sciences, Cardiff University, and has been an executive committee member of the International Association for Jungian Studies.
