Janis Faye Hutchinson is Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Houston. She is author of Cultural Portrayals of African Americans and Power, Race, and Culture. Professor Hutchinson holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Kansas.
