商品簡介
Through surveys and interviews conducted in Ethiopia, Teferra (economics, U. of Wisconsin-Whitewater) has analyzed the economic and social success of the Gurage as they negotiate their way through international economic assistance and local economic development. He reflects on why and how the Gurage have developed an entrepreneurial spirit and followed through with it, examining their historical background and the sources of their work ethic, frugality and reliance on cooperation. The result is both a case study and a model of peaceful development. Annotation c2008 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
