商品簡介
In this collection of articles and reaction essays, contributors find serious flaws in the International Monetary Fund (IMF), including lack of representation on the Executive Board for certain regions, in particular nations in Sub-Saharan Africa, difficulties in parliamentary engagement with IMF projects and goals, limited or non-existent accountability for policy decisions by individual IMF staff or board members, and conflicts between the growth in the number of actors with whom the IMF has formal relations and the continuing informality of IMF operating procedures. They recognize that the IMF's mission and scope have changed substantially in the past three decades, but recommend it take steps to increase predictability and equity.
