商品簡介
Fenton-Thomas was one of the directors of excavations east of the village of Melton in East Yorkshire, undertaken in 2004-05 as part of a road improvement project. The excavations revealed a multi-period prehistoric, Romano-British, and medieval landscape complete with land boundaries, trackways, burials, and occupation areas from the third millennium BC to the 18th century AD. Few opportunities have risen to study an East Yorkshire ladder settlement, and this one--from the first millennium BC to the third century AD-- proved more complex than anticipated. The Anglo-Saxon occupation is also represented. Distributed in North America by The David Brown Book Co. Annotation Ac2012 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
