JOHN GOTTMAN, PH.D., is a cofounder, and JULIE SCHWARTZ GOTTMAN, PH.D., is the clinical director of the Gottman Institute and the Relationship Research Institute in Seattle, where both are also in private practice. John is the bestselling author of The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work and The Relationship Cure, and coauthored 10 Lessons to Transform Your Marriage with Julie.
