HEALTH OF WOMEN WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES

Women comprise more than half the worldwide population of persons with an intellectual disability. They belong to the most vulnerable sections of society and merit special attention from the health and social care sectors. This book draws on expert contributions from a broad spectrum of healthcare professionals to assess and articulate the health requirements of the female intellectual disability community.
