商品簡介
In the peaceful Umbrian village of Paradiso, the shocking murder and mutilation of an elderly German woman, a retired cultural attache, is barely credible. That is, until Inspector Alessandro Cenni of the State Police discovers that the victim was not only a difficult tenant according to her landlady; she was also a bisexual swinger with a female African lover recently in residence. And oh yes, she was also a blackmailer. She had grown up in Occupied Venice and some of her secrets may have been acquired that long ago during World War II.
He also learns that contrary to appearances, the bucolic village is not as innocent a place as it seems: it was the site of a famous, scandalous murder fifty years earlier. He has to consider the possibility that this crime might have had repercussions.
Cenni's boss wants a scapegoat and the young African lesbian, an illegal immigrant to Italy, is the obvious choice. But Cenni cannot close the case without solving the crime and bringing the actual perpetrator to justice.
