JULIE K. SILVER, MD, an assistant professor at
Harvard Medical School, is a renowned expert in physical
medicine and rehabilitation (physiatry) and is on the medical
staff at Brigham and Women’s, Massachusetts General, and
Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospitals in Boston, Massachusetts.
She is an award-winning writer and the author/editor of more
than a dozen books, including a number of medical textbooks
and the book After Cancer Treatment: Heal Faster, Better,
Stronger. She is the recipient of the most prestigious honor
bestowed by the American Cancer Society, The Lane Adams
Quality of Life Award. She lives outside of Boston.
