商品簡介
Resilience theory has been developing over the past 30 years, and seminal articles in that process are gathered here by Gunderson (environmental studies, Emory U.), Craig R. Allen (natural resources, U. of Nebraska-Lincoln) and C. S. Holling (emeritus zoology, U. of Florida-Gainsville). They have set the 12 articles in a consistent format and type, but have otherwise retained the original idiosyncrasies. The sections cover concepts and theory, ecological examples, and empirics and models. Among specific topics are the qualitative analysis of insect outbreak systems, sea otters and kelp forests in Alaska, engineering resilience verses ecological resilience.
