商品簡介
Comprised of lessons addressing key areas of emergent literacy, such as phonological awareness, print concepts, and vocabulary, this book is designed to serve as a supplement to existing classroom curricula, enabling classroom teachers, speech language pathologists, reading specialists, and special educators to use the lessons to enhance existing programs. An overview section reviews basic concepts of emergent literacy. Lesson plans are divided into two sections on code- related and oral language lesson plans. Each lesson plan covers objectives, grouping options, materials needed, a lesson description, variations, research evidence, and connections to state standards. The objectives for each lesson are specific and delineated in a chart at the beginning of each chapter. A few b&w illustrations of materials are included. Cabell, a certified reading specialist, is research coordinator in the Preschool Language and Literacy Lab at the University of Virginia. Annotation c2009 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
