Jonathan Adams is Professor of Archaeology at the University of Southampton. He was a co-deputy director of the Mary Rose Project and since then has directed many other maritime investigations in the UK and overseas. He is the founding director of the University's Centre for Maritime Archaeology and is an editor of the Journal of Maritime Archaeology.
