Allyson Davys is Head of the School of Social Development at the Waikato Institute of Technology, New Zealand. She has been involved in the development of supervision practice for the last 15 years, and has delivered supervision training to practitioners from a range of professions. Liz Beddoe is Head of the School of Counselling, Human Services and Social Work at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She has a long-standing commitment to the education and professional development of social workers and has published many articles on social work education, supervision and professional issues.
