商品簡介
Draycott (Somerville College, Oxford) and Summers (archaeology, Middle East Technical University, Ankara) report on excavations at Kerkenes Dag in Turkey. The city was an Iron Age Phrygian settlement. For the most part, the artifacts are in fragments, due more to the destruction of the city than time. They include sculpture, especially a freestanding figure, a number of reliefs, potshards and inscriptions. Each find is catalogued and discussed in scholarly detail. The description of the artifacts is followed by a series of plates containing photos and sketches. The introductory text is in both English and Turkish. Oversize 9.5 x 12".
