Cases on Business and Management in the Mena Region: New Trends and Opportunities

This book is the first in a series to be published in collaboration with the El-Khazindar Business Research and Case Center of the School of Business at the American University in Cairo. International contributors, most from Middle East, present 17 real-life cases highlighting strategic, structural, and managerial issues, as well as local practices and markets, in emerging economies of the region, especially in Egypt. The cases are grouped into sections on accounting, finance, management, management information systems, marketing, and operations management. Each case begins with an executive summary, market and company background, and a literature review, and then describes research methods, analyzes data, and makes recommendations. Manufacturing, banking, financial services, and consumer goods are some sectors examined. Material is presented in a two-column format that includes b&w charts and screenshots.
