商品簡介
The author's PhD work in education at the University of Glasgow centered on a multi-faith study of children's dreams and their implications for the education system. In this work, she explores how children perceive and make sense of their dreams and nightmares, fantasies and imaginary friends, ghosts and angels, and other inner experiences. She draws on her own research interviews with children and adults, and mines the international literature for cases reported by doctors and other professionals of children who have near-death experiences and accurately describe events that happened before their birth. The author urges adults to accept and affirm children's inner worlds rather than trivializing them. The book is accessible to parents, educators, and childcare providers. Adams is a senior lecturer at Bishop Grosseteste University College-Lincoln, England. Annotation c2010 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
